Protecting the Environment: God’s Covenant gave to humanity the earth and all of its creatures so that we may be custodians over the earth and protect it. When we destroy or pollute the earth, we are breaking God’s Covenant.

And God blessed them. And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth. – Gen 1:28

The Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to work it and keep it. – Gen 2:15

Helping those in need: What is money besides pieces of paper with ink printed on them or digits in a ledger? – Wealth represents the earth itself and its riches; the fish of the sea, the animals, and the crops. When we hoard wealth for a few and allow many to live in poverty we are also breaking God’s Covenant.

If you lend money to any of my people with you who is poor, you shall not be to him as a creditor, and you shall not exact interest from him. – Ex: 22:24

When you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not reap to the very edges of your field, or gather the gleanings of your harvest. You shall not strip your vineyard bare, or gather the fallen grapes of your vineyard; you shall leave them for the poor and the alien: I am the Lord your God. – Lev 19:9-10

Promoting peace: The earth belongs to God and all nations are in His hand. Humanity was meant to live in peace.

Have we not all one Father? Has not one God created us? Why then are we faithless to one another, profaning the covenant of our fathers? Mal 2:10

A Song of Ascents. Of David. Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity! It is like the precious oil on the head, running down on the beard, on the beard of Aaron, running down on the collar of his robes! It is like the dew of Hermon, which falls on the mountains of Zion! For there the Lord has commanded the blessing, life forevermore. – Psalm 133:1-3

Promoting religious unity: Religion comes from a place of devotion to God and the major monotheistic religions of the world share many common scriptures and beliefs. Regardless of a particular denomination or sect, Christians, Jews, and Muslims worship the same God. Why do we hate people who are different?

And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.” Love is depicted as the unifying force that holds together all other virtues. – Colossians 3:14
